Gravimetry Lab

Before the opening of the HITec building the gravimetry lab in the basement of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy housed IfE's absolute gravimeters.

The lab is the location of the point of the German Schweregrundnetz DSGN94 4/4, on which since the mid-80's first the JILAg-3, then, starting in 2002, the FG5-220 and since 2012 the FG5X-220 have been used.

The lab offers more services for relative gravimeters, e.g. ongoing registration with the gPhone-98 gravimeter. The building contains also a groundwater monitoring site of the city of Hannover.
