On Opportunistic Positioning In 5G NR Indoor Campus Networks

Abstract: Requirements for fast and data-intensive communications, security, privacy and positioning demands make 5G NR campus networks particularly interesting for industrial sites. However, commercially available location based services do not match the capabilities of the latest 5G NR RAT standardizations. In this work we showcase the work on developing a navigation receiver to retrieve network independent navigation observations from the 5G NR modulated broadcast signal, the Signal Sychnronization Block (SSB).
