Forschung
Am Institut für Erdmessung widmen wir uns der Forschung und Lehre in der präzisen GNSS-basierten Positionierung und Navigation, der terrestrischen Gravimetrie sowie der Geoidbestimmung. Ein entscheidender Bereich ist zudem die Modellierung von Massenvariationen im System Erde. Besonders stolz sind wir auf unsere Analysen von Lasermessungen zum Mond. Aktuell liegt ein wachsender Fokus auf der Entwicklung innovativer Messkonzepte für die Schwerefeldbestimmung, die wir in enger Zusammenarbeit mit den Experten der Physik vorantreiben.

Humboldt Research Fellowship: Dr. Alice Cicirello
Dr. Alice Cicirello, Associate Professor in Dynamics and Monitoring of Structures at TU Delft, has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship for Experienced Researchers. She will be hosted jointly at the Institute for Risk and Reliability, Leibniz Universität Hannover, and at the Chair for reliability Engineering (Professor Matthias Faes), TU Dortmund. Together we are working towards a statistical model updating method that will account for mixed and limited information. The aim is to drastically improve safety and reduce inspections and maintenance costs of critical structures by accurately assessing the Safe Residual Life of the structures.
